Quest Capacity Manager for SQL Server

Capacity Today – Provides a quick overview of the monitored system. It helps you to review the summary information about all registered SQL Server instances. It also provides a quick overview of the key areas of health: 
 - disk capacity, including accurate mount point data collections
 - index fragmentation
 - system performance
 - SharePoint capacity

Capacity Planner – Uses data collected to allow users to easily manage SQL Server consolidation projects.
Intelligent Defragmentation with maintenance window support – This feature allows you to configure advanced automatic analysis and reorganization of fragmented database objects using the defragmentation profiles. These profiles help you to preset different fragmentation thresholds and reorganization options. The enhanced scheduling mechanism allows you to set up reorganization jobs during maintenance periods.



Partition Management – Provides the ability to create, alter, and delete partitions in a table through an easy-to-use interface, assisting in the management of partitioned tables in SQL Server 2005 and 2008.Performance Capacity – Uses data from Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise statistics repository (if Spotlight is installed). Provides performance capacity charts and statistics information using historical data from the Spotlight repository.
Fragmentation and Fill Factor Management - Help you manage and monitor changes in fragmentation and fill factor at the group, instance, or database level.SharePoint Module – Provides graphical tools to manage the current and future needs of content databases specific to SharePoint.
PowerShell command line interface – Helps you access Capacity Manager functionality directly without opening the Capacity Manager console using the Windows PowerShell technology.Database Profiles– This feature allows you to group database objects, which are used by a particular application, in one entity and display its growth on a single chart.
